Our first daughter, Elizabeth Jane, was born last week. She's wonderful and beautiful and we couldn't be happier!

Time for a change to the design of the site. This was inspired by the Lake District National Park Authority of the United Kingdom. I liked the color scheme so much I decided to try it here!

Summer, and time for a new page top. This sunset was captured while visiting a friend in San Diego back in 2003.
I have finally revealed the purpose of the page that had been "reserved". Check it out if you want to know what it's all about. In local news, we're thinking about remodeling our bathroom with new flooring, new walls, and new vanity/counter/sink. I'll be building the vanity so watch for a picture of it soon on my furniture page. On another front, we've finally finished the furnace/air conditioner project. I'm afraid to add up the cost but at least the efficiency is better - almost a third of what it took to run the old units. In the background of everything else, I've started a website for the youth group at our church. Nothing's posted yet but I'm hopeful for this summer!

After building my first website at college sometime between 1998 and 2000, there have been several revisions, not including at least four websites other than my own. This is the latest after having used the previous design for nearly three years; a record, I suppose, as each of the others only lasted about a year. Now more than six years since the beginning, I started getting the itch to build from scratch again. The goal: cleaner, more simplified, easier to read, and reduced but (hopefully) interesting content. I'd love to know what you think. Feel free to drop me an email at the address below.
This is about as close as I'll get to LiveJournal or MySpace, although I have no intention of posting regularly here. That was never the intention, really. The reason, I suppose, behind the very first website I made was really just to see if I could do it. For a while it also served as a place to keep my resume while searching for jobs. Now it's gone back to being more about the challenge of learning it all over again, but using CSS in a much broder application. I may put up pictures, and perhaps a bit of news in About Me, but really I don't tend to update very often.

In honor of all the previous websites, I have constructed a gallery, if you will, of the main entry page for each one. You can view it on my pictures page. They certainly have come a long way since the beginning!
